About TimezoneCast

TimezoneCast is a free, visual world clock and time zone converter built for people who work across cities and continents every day. No ads, no account, no clutter — just your cities, their current time, and a clear way to find the right moment to meet.

Why it exists

Scheduling a call between New York, Berlin, and Kolkata shouldn't require a spreadsheet. Most time zone tools either overwhelm you with dropdowns, require a sign-in, or show you a static number without telling you whether that time is inside working hours for everyone.

TimezoneCast takes a different approach: show all your cities as a visual timeline, let you drag to any hour, and immediately highlight where working windows overlap. The answer is visible in seconds.

What it does

  • ·Compare multiple cities side by side in a scrollable time grid
  • ·Drag a cursor to any hour and see all local times update instantly
  • ·Highlight overlapping working hours (9 AM–6 PM) across all cities
  • ·Export .ics calendar invites for Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar
  • ·Share a setup link that encodes your cities, date, and time
  • ·Support IANA named zones and fixed UTC offsets from UTC−12 to UTC+14
  • ·Handle daylight saving time automatically — no manual adjustments

Philosophy

TimezoneCast is built on three principles: accuracy, speed, and honesty.

Accuracy — All time zone math uses the IANA tz database via Luxon. DST transitions are calculated automatically. Nothing is hard-coded. See the methodology page for details on how calculations work and where the tool's limitations are.

Speed — The page loads instantly. There's no server round-trip for a conversion. The interactive widget runs entirely in your browser after the initial page load.

Honesty — TimezoneCast is free and doesn't require a sign-up. It doesn't track you beyond anonymous page-load analytics (Vercel Analytics, no personal data). It doesn't upsell a paid tier. What you see is what it is.
